Lemon loaf tea cake that will be perfect with your favorite tea, chai, or coffee. You can even use this for dessert, such as a trifle, or a ice-cream cake. This lemon loaf cake, is so simple and easy to prepare. The lemon juice and lemon zest gives it that extra lemony flavor. So if you love lemon recipes, than you have to try this out.
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon lemon or vanilla extract
sliced almonds, or walnuts for the top of the cake
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 min or until you poke a wooden screwer and it comes out clean.
